Through Raymond James, Cash Tunstall CFP®, creates an original planning experience for each client, specifically crafted from their personal story and priorities, with an emphasis on retirement, income planning, and long-term tax efficiency.
Although an appropriate name considering his vocation, Cash was actually named after an inspirational friend of his parents. He grew up in Kentucky in his family’s equine business and studied at Asbury University where he met his wife, Lauren.
In the early years of his career, Cash was individually and personally mentored by two of the largest and most successful financial advisors in the Raymond James network. During this time, he was responsible for coordinating the planning strategies and processes for many of their most complex clients and plans. Today, in a more comprehensive role as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner, Cash draws from that experience and is known for his forward-thinking initiatives and resourceful solutions in support of his clients’ goals.
Cash lives in Franklin with his wife Lauren and two young children. They are enthusiastic fans of Dave Ramsey and the broader message of financial literacy and behavioral change pioneered by the Ramsey Solutions team. Having helped coordinate Financial Peace University classes over the years, this is a cornerstone of his planning process and philosophy.
This is usually the part of the bio where one may express favorite pastimes and hobbies. However, between this business, his deeply romantic relationship with Lauren, and being a constant instigator of the kids - there is not a lot of free time. If there is any to speak of, Cash can be found tinkering and DIYing on his house and in the garage, usually creating more problems than the ones he is fixing.
Cash holds Series 7 and 66, property, casualty, life, health, and annuity licenses. He also maintains the CFP® designation and is a member of the Financial Services Institute.

This extremely involved process ranges from figuring out the most efficient ways to merge finances with a loved one, saving for a large purchases, financially planning for a growing family, education funds, life insurance, and retirement decisions to forethought into tax strategies for higher incomes, estate planning, caring for aging parents, and long-term care options.
Melissa and her family relocated back to Nashville after spending two years in Kentucky. She met a Southwestern Investment Group financial advisor through mutual friends and was impressed with their love of the firm. After getting to spend eight months at home with her first child, she felt like it was time to join the workforce again. Melissa immediately thought of Southwestern and has been here ever since.
As a working mother, Melissa appreciates the flexibility that Southwestern provides. Being able to develop lifelong relationships with clients through personalized service is one of her greatest missions. She also gets the opportunity to balance work and life by utilizing the flexible hours to stay at home with her kids once during the work week.
Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children, Caroline and Wyatt. When she's not chasing the kids, Melissa is chasing her two wild fur kids. She prefers to spend time together outdoors and is extremely proud of her StrongFirst kettlebell training.
