Associate Spotlight: Anitra Brennan, RFC®

Our Southwestern Investment Group associates all share one core value: they genuinely care about our clients’ success. Anitra Brennan is no exception. She is a wonderful example of a consultant who dives deep into her clients’ dreams and their financial plan to see that they reach their goals. What more could you want from a financial ally? In this spotlight, you can learn more about Anitra and see why she’s such an integral part of the Nace Wealth Team

Anitra’s Background

Anitra was born and raised in Austin, Texas, and moved to the Dallas area as a teenager. She attended the University of Texas at Dallas and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance. She is currently a graduate student, studying to receive her MBA in Finance at Texas A&M Corpus Christi. She also holds her Series 7, 63, 65, and 66 licenses, as well as a Financial Planning Certificate from Boston University.

How Anitra Came to Southwestern Investment Group

Anitra gravitated toward Southwestern Investment Group because of its comprehensive approach to financial planning. Her background is in education, and so she has the heart of a teacher. Southwestern allows her to serve and educate her clients, which she loves and thinks is incredibly important. “I also noticed that in every meeting, the clients are the focus. In company meetings, our teams give thanks for the clients that we have the pleasure of serving. We are truly there for our clients and that makes a significant difference,” Anitra said.

What Anitra Loves About her Role

As a Registered Financial Consultant, Anitra’s role is focused on meeting clients and looking after their well-being, financially and personally. “Life doesn’t happen without a financial decision to make. I get to know the clients and help them to navigate the financial decisions in their lives. Everyone has different needs and concerns about their money, and I can be there to guide them through,” she added.

She went on to say that she appreciates the collaborative and supportive culture at Southwestern. At any time, she knows that she can reach out to any of our financial advisors and staff to help with questions or planning ideas.

Anitra’s Advice to Others Considering a Career in Finance

“I worked for over 20 years with other firms. The industry is evolving, and the firms are moving to a client-focused and goal planning direction. This is, of course, great news for clients. My younger self dreamed of this moment. There is no need to wait for these other firms to catch up with Southwestern. Let’s go with the one that started out with this client-focused mindset—one that continues to blaze a path in the right direction.”

Anitra’s Joys in Her Personal Life

Anitra is currently studying for her MBA in Finance, which is time-consuming, but she’s truly enjoying her studies. She will graduate in the fall of 2021. “I have an amazingly supportive family of two sons and my husband, and I can’t forget my dog, Piper,” she said. Anitra and her family live in Frisco, Texas. She enjoys spending any spare moment outside: running, gardening, or hiking. And she loves to cheer on her kids in their favorite sports, which are baseball and cross country.
