Jennifer Herendon is a Financial Advisor at Southwestern Investment Group. Her specialty is providing sound, conservative, confidential, and comprehensive investment advice to clients in order to help them effectively and efficiently save for retirement, minimize tax liability, and transfer their wealth.
One extremely important aspect of our team is that we are INDEPENDENT advisors. By being completely independent, our allegiance is with the client and not with any particular product as we are not obligated to sell proprietary funds or products. Rather, we have access to thousands of mutual funds, stocks, bonds, brokered certificates of deposits, money market accounts, Section 529 College Savings Plans, fifty private money management firms, and thousands of quality insurance products on the market.
Jennifer Herendon holds her Series 7 and Series 66 registrations, as well as TN Life/Health Insurance licenses. Jennifer works with clients through portfolio analysis as well as by developing a thorough understanding of their objectives in order to put together a framework to help them meet their financial goals. Jennifer also handles all of the trade submissions and money movement requests for the Aull Wealth Team, an independent company.
Jennifer is a Mt. Juliet, Tennessee native and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Middle Tennessee State University. While finishing college, Jennifer worked as intern for the Aull Wealth Team. Some of her responsibilities included client operations, scheduling client meetings, preparing for client meetings, and processing client requests and paperwork. Originally from Nashville, Indiana, David and his wife, Erin, planted roots in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2013. He graduated from the University of Taylor with a degree in Biblical Studies. Prior to joining Southwestern Investment Group, David worked for Thrivent Financial. He holds the Series 6 and Series 66 registrations, as well as Tennessee life, health, annuity, and long-term care insurance licenses.
David primarily focuses on updating clients regularly to their financial picture and helping clients reach their goals. One of the main things that brought David to Southwestern Investment Group was the unwavering commitment to putting clients first. Southwestern Investment Group and Raymond James are both independent and therefore not tied to any one group of products or services. Because of this, David is able to ensure that every recommendation he gives is done as a fiduciary.
David loves getting into the details and implementing the tax-efficient financial planning strategies that help clients keep as much of their hard-earned money as possible. His biggest passion is helping clients dream about their legacy and ensuring that each part of a client’s plan makes sense for their individual situation.
When not in the office, David spends time serving at his church, with his family, and traveling – though traveling is much harder with a young family. David and his wife, Erin, have three children; two daughters, Wren and Kate, and a son, Hank.

During his time at Union, Stephen worked in the Office of University Ministries followed by Student Financial Planning. He currently holds the Series 7 and Series 66 licenses.
His favorite part of what he does is getting to hear parts of a client’s story. Each of the clients that we work with are unique and the uniqueness of the clients is what keeps the job exciting. No client is ever exactly these same, so no day is ever exactly the same. He also loves the opportunity to learn under other advisors. Being new to the industry, he sees it as a huge blessing to sit under people that do their job excellently and follow them to see how the job should be done.
At this time, Stephen primarily focuses on preparing reports and account information for client meetings with advisors on the team. He assists them during meetings and completes behind-the-scenes tasks that need to take place in order to help clients have their needs met.
After work hours, Stephen enjoys spending time with his wife, Ashleigh, and one-year-old daughter, Mia. If it’s a nice afternoon, he might take Ashleigh on a motorcycle ride or go on a family hike. No matter what they are doing, though, they always love meeting other people and hearing about them and their stories.
